The Institute of Physics in Wales actively encourages its members and others to communicate exciting aspects and applications of physics to a wide audience.

Institute of Physics in Wales funding opportunity
The Institute in Wales’s grant scheme is designed to give financial support of up to £750 to individuals and organisations running physics-based events and activities in Wales. The main criteria for the awarding of a grant will be the benefit of the project / event to Wales. Practical support in terms of help and advice is available from the National Officer (Wales).

This grant scheme is open all year round and applications will be assessed by the Institute of Physics in Wales Committee. Successful applicants will be notified by email of the outcome within six weeks of the closing date.

Institute of Physics UK-wide funding opportunities
The Institute of Physics has a public engagement grant scheme which provides up to £3000 to individuals and organisations running physics-based events and activities in the UK and Ireland. If you would like to talk to a member of the Outreach and Engagement team about the scheme or about an idea for an application then email engagement@iop.org. Student societies that are affiliated to the Institute of Physics can apply to the Affiliate Society Additional Fund for up to £500. Please contact member.services@iop.org for more information. 

Schools applying for a project or event linked to the teaching or promotion of physics can apply to the IOP Schools Grant Scheme - IOP's main website for up to £600.
